Making Progress.....

We've been in our new house for about 3 1/2 months now and we're just now making progress in organizing, unpacking (yes, I still have boxes full of junk), sorting and trying to get some kind of decor going on. The plainess in a sense was kinda depressing me....the dullness of NO color ...... so, the past two weeks i've been picking up things here and there like pillows, picture frames, candles and wall decor. Just things to brighten up the living room. (We're going to take one room at the time starting with the living room). I'm pretty good at picking things out just not hanging them or trying to place or put them together. My mom on the other hand is! Many of you don't know my mother but she's a VERY talented woman! She's got many talents and decorating is just one of many. (I'm a very lucky daughter!) So with her help my house (living room) is coming together!

She put ths arrangement together! Actually, I had tried to put it together and she walked in and said "do you mind if I add something to it??"........In other words, it really needed some help!

I still have a lot more to do but it's all starting to come together!

Back to square one!

I've been so busy that i've been absent from the blog world and from cleaning my house! So today I started some much needed cleaning, but I didn't get much done! Do you ever feel that way? I was steadily cleaning and some little something was steadily behind me destroying!!...lol!! I started in my bedroom hanging up clothes that i've thrown on the chair for the past week because i've changed clothes probably 3 times each day! (You know, it's tough being a girl! Always feeling like we have nothing to wear!) Okay, back to cleaning......got my bedroom cleaned then headed to the kitchen! Got all the dishes washed (that had been there for a week!), then picked up the living room (well moved the toys around!) and headed to Kennedy's room. I started sorting all of the clothes that I picked up off the floor that she had drug out of her hamper and closet! After I finished that I started back into the living room to find this:
Found my little sweet angel destroying the house right where I just got done cleaning!!! Where is daddy when all this is going on??????? Watching her!!!......lol!! Got to love the daddy's!!!!

Kennedy had her one year old check up today and this is a quick pic I snapped!

Check out my girl posing for the camera! She had her knee bent and toe pointed!!....lol! She came in at a big 25 lbs.!!!!! (No wonder my back hurts...lol!)

Obsession taken to a DIFFERENT level!

I didn't realize how much Kennedy has fallen in love (or have gotten obsessed) with her monkey until dinner tonight! When she had gotten really sick around her birthday she began to cling to her monkey and would tend to want him/her when she went down for a nap (him/her.......meaning we don't have a name for monkey) but I have noticed a change with her clingingness to her monkey. I've decided that this is her one little thing she can't do without....

How I new she couldn't live without monk-monk (monkey....monk-monk is what she calls it!):

1. Sense she's gotten home from Grammy Mary's she hasn't put it down!

2. She's constantly saying monk-monk if she don't have it (it's not like she's just saying it.....she's saying it, like she longs for it!).

3. And this is what did it in!!!!........I go and pick her up to put her in high chair for dinner, mean while she's got monk-monk in her hand, and I take it away to put it up so she can eat, and then she starts to cry......monk-monk.........monk-monk......she had real tears too! So, I give her back the monkey and she stops crying, then I place her in her high chair and she still want let go! I put her food infront of her thinking she would drop the monkey and start eating but instead this is what she does........Now that's talent, eating and holding monkey at the same time! She'll give up anything for food that's how I new she was becoming OBSESSED with monkey!!!! I could see it in her eyes....she's thinking..."I can eat and hold monk-monk!"

Now I need to think up a back up plan if we loose monkey!!! I mean, what do you do if you loose there favorite thing????? I need to look for a spare A.S.A.P.!!!!....LOL!!

After dinner we played for a while and of course I tried to get a cute pic of the two of us......

K....first of all, I don't know what I was thinking because I was pretty much pre-p-jays!!! And second of all, Kennedy didn't even have on pants!!! Um......maybe we'll give it another shot later....lol! (By the way check out those rolls!!!)

Bag Tag!

I've actually been tagged twice for the bag tag but i'm just now getting around to doing it! Thank you very much Jill from Peeptoe Pumps and Pearls and Amy at lets talk Thompism! Thank you soooo much!

This the pusrse my mom got me for Christmas and I will say i'm still carrying it! I used to be very fashion forward with purses and changed them with every outfit, but after having Kennedy i've changed A LOT! Now I just stick with one for a while then change it out after I get bored with it! Which it takes a while now because I really don't pay attention to what color it is or what it looks like, all I care about now it what's in it like: a cup, napkins, snacks, maybe a spare diaper and maybe an extra shirt!!!!.......lol! I'm sure a lot of you mom's do the same thing!!!

LOTS of pictures and very LITTLE words!

Kennedy's birthday came and went so fast that I really didn't get a chance to get her one year pictures done! I know that i'm a little behind but better late than never right?! Mom came ove Sunday afternoon and she took some pictures of her and of us! I thought it would be a great idea to get a few family shots also sense we haven't had any in a while!

She took a few in her Valentine's day outfit (that her Grammy made, thank you Grammy) for some Valentine cards i'm in the process of making!

After doing pictures at home like this it makes me NEVER want to go to a picture people or somewhere to get her pictures done! It was so nice to be home and to me it makes the pictures better! Not to mention this is where she's most comfortable. I highly recommend it!

I didn't know we're that REDNECK!

Saturday I worked a half day and got home around noon. It was a nice day out so me and Kennedy went out for a stroll in her wagon.

We went to Granny's for a few and played then mommy got a little tired from pulling her so we took a break for a little while. Daddy was working on his beater (an old truck he's working to drive around) and he had the seat pulled out! Never the less it was the perfect seat to sit on. At dinner I was showing my mom the pictures of Kennedy riding in her wagon and this was the next picture.......She started laughing sooooo hard! I said "what?".......She just looked at me and laughed again and said, "Abbi that's so redneck! What were yall doing and why was the truck seat in the yard?" Needless to say I started laughing too and realized how funny it looked.....and thankfully we don't live near the road so no one noticed!!!!!

After we ate dinner we went over to lowes to look at closet organizers for my closet and this is how Kennedy road around in the store!After we finished shopping we headed out to the car and the we noticed there was water springing up out of the ground. I'm not sure what was going on but it looked like there sprinkler system went crazy and water was going everywhere.

It's hard to see but it was surely springing out of the ground! All of a sudden Adam comes up with this crazy (totally redneck idea) and says "look free car wash! Lets drive through it then we want have to wash the car." I did think to myself it is a pretty good idea! He proceeds to get into the car and drive through it!.......and what I do? Go for the camera!Again, it's not a great picture but you get the idea!

A whole different level!

Saturday we took four-wheeler riding to a totally different level! We normally try to ride at least once a month but it's hard when you have a little one. Anyways, we decided to go with a group that was taking a 55 mile riding trip. This isn't the riding we normally do, we normally only ride for a few hours and head home. This was going to be at least an 8 hour trip. I was pretty pumped about it!!! Ok.....back to the group... when I say group a mean convoy! I think there were about 30 of us that went and about 17 four-wheelers!

I do have to admit I have a hidden passion to be dirty and the thrill of the speed I do love very much.... but this.....it was different! It was braving the cold weather conditions (I think it got down to about 30 degrees) and the long ride. Meaning I don't have much cushion on the tale bone and once I got on there was NO turning back.

Excuse the blue in some of the pics! I hit some button on the camera and didn't figure it out until the trip was almost over! This is at the house before we left! And yes, those are my camo boots that are snake proof with my hot pink pants!

Everyone that went riding!! ....Riding Dirty!!!! The Possie!When I said "convoy" I wasn't joking!! It was pretty funny, we took up the whole rode.

Me and TraciAbout 2 hours into the ride we had to stop to get something to eat! We're in a very, very small town and this was the ONLY place to eat! It's called "Shack by the track." Believe me it was a shack and it was by the railroad track! It was awesome! We pretty much took up the whole parking lot!

This my dear friends is the bathroom! It wasn't do to tough economic times......this is just the bathroom! Is this legal????!!!!!! Needless to say i'm a girl and I always have to go so, I did use it!

It's really hard to make out but on the porch was a sink and this is where you washed your hands!!! Shack by the track style!!

After the sun went down the temperature dropped fast! This is me and Traci trying to get her suit on! We brought our snow skiing clothes! They really worked out good! They kept us pretty warm.

It was so funny because all you could see was just everyones eyes!! Adam undone his jacket just for the pick but I didn't want to take my gloves off then put them back on!

We had such a good time except for the we got home about midnight and left around one o'clockish!! It was awesome!
