Christmas part 2

I has so much to catch up on so I had to divide it into 2 parts!
I did forget to mention Santa did come visit me too! Well, Santa being my hubby and my mommy!!! My hubby got me a gift card to one of my favorite stores and some much needed perfume! I've been out for months! And my mom did extremely well this year! She bought me, my sissy and my sis in-law all coach purses this year! This is all I got from mom and dad but it was more than I can ask for! I'm in love with it.

After ripping into my gift (I still get VERY excited about gifts!) Grammy and Grandaddy gave Kennedy her gift!

A wagon! We put it together yesterday and she loves it! We've been on 2 strolls today! Except it's kinda hard for me to pull her in it! She kinda get heavy....lol!!To top off the best Christmas ever, we left for the mountains Christmas afternoon! Not really afternoon more like at night! We decided to leave when it was time for Kennedy to go to bed so the trip would be a little easier! Kennedy done great! She slept all the way there. Even for the 2 hours we got lost on the mountain! (on a gravel road made for one car, with it raining, no cell phone service, at 5:00 in the morning and no gas!) That made the trip a bit more exciting. Needless to say we made it without running out of gas around 8:00am! It was an experience!!! We only stayed 3 nights and headed home late Sunday night. We wanted to get home to recuperate.
It was sooo beautiful! Not to cold though in the 60s.
Kennedy smiling for the camera.
This was my husbands heaven. Adam, daddy and McKenna opted for the race car track and we went shopping!
Me and Kennedy at the outlet mall.
Kennedy and Grammy.
Trying to get a family shot!!

Lagging behind! Christmas Part 1

So, i'm a little late on my Christmas update but better late than never right?
Christmas was a blast this year. Me and Adam talked about how all of our other Christmas's was pretty boring (which at the time we thought they were awesome) until we had a baby! I thought Kennedy really wouldn't be that fun but I was wrong! She was a lot more into it than I thought she would be! I know she didn't understand what was going on but she was really excited about all the people and the noise.

The morning started out with her coming in our room and waiting on daddy to get a shower (I was sooooo blasted mad, I was ready to get the show on the road!! Leave to daddy to take his precious time....lol)
She entered into the living room to find santa had brought her, her first pony!! She loved it! It was all over after that she wouldn't open any of her other gifts!!
Grammy Mary got her this blanket, pillow and baby.....she does love her babies!
After we finished Christmas at our house we journeyed across the yard to see cousin Kate!
After we done Christmas with the Taylor's we went to Grammy's for breakfast...........This is Kennedy on the way! She passed out!! She was soooo tired from all of the excitement!

Me and Kennedy at Grammy's house. Notice the scarf, it was pretty much 90 degrees on Christmas but I was trying to feel the Christmas atmosphere and wishing it was cold. So, I had to through on a scarf with a short sleeve shirt so I wouldn't burn up!

After we had breakfast we went back home to rest for a short while then me, my brother and family, sister and family gathered at my mom's for lunch!

My sis in-law Jess and Memphis.
Jess bought Kennedy and Memphis these........soooo cute! We had to crank the air down so we could put the outfits on them!
Ames and the kids!
Here are just a few of random Christmas shots from Christmas eve and Christmas day!

Christmas was/is always such a blessing and one of my favorite holidays! It always my favorite because we celebrate Jesus's birth! Sometimes we get so wrapped up in all of the gifts, but I always want to make sure Kennedy knows the real reason for Christmas! So, every year we'll read the Christmas story before we open gifts to let her know that's what Christmas is ALL about!

I know this was a long blog, but I had to catch up! More to come in part 2 of Christmas!

Christmas Dress

Today was the Sunday before Christmas and mom always bought us a dress for Christmas to wear to church so, I done the same for my little girl as well! Actually, it was a great excuse for us all to get a new outfit (or should I say a great excuse for me to have a new outfit!). My husband wasnt' very excited about his sweater considering it was 80 degrees when we left this morning. Thanks to that Florida wheather.
As you can see daddy and Kennedy ditched there outfits as soon as they could!

After Kennedy took a nap I thought it would be a good idea to get her and Kate's (Hollie's little one) picture in there Christmas dresses......let's just say trying to get the two of them to take a sitting still picture isn't/wasn't a great idea. I probably should have just went the candid route.

Not to bad considering they just wanted to play while we're trying to get a cute shot! Next year maybe they'll sit a little longer! (If we're lucky!!!)

Family Christmas party

We had our first family Christmas party tonight and i'm beat! It seems like every year my aunt's house gets smaller and smaller. Or should I say our families have gotten bigger! Here's a pic for example.

There were at least 40 0f us crammed into this house! It's always so much fun getting together thinking back about old times!
Our little family! we took a quick shot before it got to crowded!
My sissy Amy (time with the thompson's) and her family! Brylee doesn't like the camera!
My brother's little girl, Memphis.
Daddy and the girls.

Things that I'm REALLY excited about

This time of year there are so many things that make me excited but what I love most is......
1. Receiving Christmas cards. I really get excited when I go and check the mail to find a Christmas card. What makes it even more exiting is when I receive a picture too!
2. This year was our first family Christmas card. I couldn't wait until Christmas time so we could do this.

3. These Christmas Pajamas! My mom has a tradition every year that she buys us all new pajamas for Christmas and this year Kennedy got her first set!.....love them!

These are just a few things that really make Christmas exciting for me! It's really just the small stuff, some traditions and some new things!

Christmas Spirit

We (or should I say "I") finally got our tree up. I'm officiall in the Christmas spirit! I have this feeling though, and I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but I kinda feel like it's a little to late and Christmas is almost over. My house is finally Christmas ready and my heart but I can't help but to think it's all over in a week! Isn't that terrible? This is my favorite time of year and it always seems to go by so fast. We get so caught up in all of the shopping and parties that I don't take time to slow down and enjoy the moment. The moment of the day our Savior was born. Tonight was our first trip to see Santa! We journeyed to the local mall (when I say local I mean it's 40 minutes away) where Santa was going to be and expecting there to be a crowd. I thought wrong. It was awesome! We literally were the only people in line. It was decorated so cute and it had to be the nicest Santa I had ever seen.

Of course after seeing Santa we had to grab a bite to eat and being with Taylor's and all we had to hit the buffet! Me and my sis in-law (Hollie, who we went with tonight) hate buffets, but our husband's love them! Their's nothing like a germ infested buffet. Someone did enjoy themselves and the icecream!

A few days in one!

I always seem to just be a few days behind in blogging so, then I have to cram all my happenings into one blog! I say " happenings" like I have a lot of interesting things goin on! Nothing to exciting well, maybe a little to me!
Tuesday Night.
Tuesday night was LNO, and need I say more! I think LNO (ladies night out) is the high light of my month! I love it! I really look foward to the girls night out but what I look foward to most is the word of God that Rhonda brings! Rhonda done some stomping on the toes a little or should I say God did! How come he knows exactly what you need to hear? (dumb queston b/c he know's all) Anyway, the topic was on respect. Respecting your siblings, Respecting your spouse and Respecting your childs heart. She spoke for about an hour or so but it flew by! I find myself thinking "it's over already, but I need to hear more!" I love that feeling, I love that i'm so eager to guid our child in God's path! It's so exciting and scary all at the same time!
Wednesday
Mom took us girls from work to do a little Christmas shopping and to by us our Christmas gifts from her! We got some really great deals and I managed to stay focused and got MOST of my Christmas shopping done! I have a few more things to buy and i'll be set!

Never long enough!

So, the weekend flew by as usual! I always have these great goals of getting things done and there NEVER seems to be enough time! Well, it's probably because I really don't make time. Normally it's household stuff, such as, cleaning the blinds, scrubbing the bath tub, laundry and I still have some unpacking to do, but really who wants to do these things on the weekend?! Or during the week!...lol!

Iopted to skip these things and drag out some of my Christmas decor! Here it is
almost the middle of December and I still don't have a tree up yet! Better yet, I sent my husband to the shed to search for it and it wasn't there! You see, last Christmas I was pregnant and in the pit of range of packing all of the ornaments back up and the tree (by myself, 9 months pregnant) I think I might have decided to toss it out! I remember thinking we'll need a new one
next year because our living room will be larger! So, now I think I need to go buy a tree! Just lovely!....lol

We did go to the local Christmas parade Saturday and it was a huge let down! I think there were maybe 30 people there. Obviously, we didn't know how lame it would be sense we're the only dorks REALLY excited about it! I did get a few cute pics!

Kate and her famous smile!!

Might would have been cute if I could see.....lol

We had our Christmas play at church last night so, I decided to dress Kennedy up! She looked so cute!

All in all it was a great weekend just never long enough!
