We went to our local Pumpkin Patch/Corn Maze today. We had a BLAST!

Praise the Lord I only have a one week left of volleyball. I have loved (well most of the time) every moment of it but, it's really affecting my social/blogging life.

I have lots of catching up to do.

My dad turned the big 60 last month and we had a huge celebration for him. I have tons of pictures to share but haven't gotten around to it yet. Hopefully soon.

I did have to share this today though.

We have some friends at our church that have been telling us to bring Kennedy over to see there donkeys (when I say donkeys..I mean LOTS of donkeys!). We decided today would be perfect. The weather is great and we had some old apples that needed to be tossed. What better way to get rid of them than feed them to the donkeys! Kennedy headed out to see them.

Here they are. I'm thinking he said there was 9 of them. What was so neat, he called them all by name. Who can remember 9 donkeys names and tell them apart?! Impressive!

Of course on the ride over she was SUPER excited but when we got to there she was a little hesitant....at first!

I tried to get Adam to take one home but he wasn't having that! I kinda fell in love with them.

It was so much fun.

I think we'll be out again soon.

Besides, it's a great way to get rid of old food! LOL!

Wordless Wednesday!

Weekend up date!

Our new weekend right now is Wednesday, Thursday! My hubby right now is working a crazy work schedule so, right now those are his days off!
It actually works out pretty good! My day off is Wednesday and I also work a half day on Thursday! Thankfully I have a job where I can work around his schedule!

So, Wednesday we went out on a family day! A local town around ours has something called a Jumpy House! It's the huge blow up slides put into a building! It's totally practical for living in this area because it's so hot around here. Cool, cheap entertaintment and it completely wore Kennedy out! Meaning LONG nap!
Also, with it being during the week we were the only people there! We had the whole place to ourselves! It was awesome!

I think Daddy had just as much fun as Kennedy did!

She THOUGHT she was HELPING Mommy out!

This happened about 3weeks ago........

I was folding clothes in the living room (as a normal day off work would go) and Kennedy was helping me out! She started out by helping me fold the towels and her shorts etc....
Then she would deliver them to each room, come back do some more folding and then deliver them again.

Well, she disappeared for a little longer than I had expected......so I walk in her room to find her doing this..... Folding her own clothes!
I thought...."aw, that's awesome! She wants to help Mommy out!"

She was doing such a great job I continued to let her be! Besides, it was keeping her occupied while I finished up the house work!

I kept peeking in on her just to make sure she was OK! (Oh and of course I had to capture the moment of her helping mommy out....that's why I have these pics!)

So, a little time goes by (4-5 minutes tops because I NEVER leave her alone any longer) and this is what I find when I walk in her room..................

YIKES!!!!!! I didn't think she would want to re-fold ALL of her clothes!!

Only one good thing came out of this, and that is I got to go through all of clothes and get rid of the things that no longer fit! But believe you me I would have rather not have done it this way!!

Moral of story.....4-5 minute window is way to much to give a 2 year old! LOL!

I've got LOTS of catching up to do!

Goodness I have some MAJOR catching up to do!

Things has been SUPER busy for me. Between work, coaching Volleyball and being a mommy theirs not too much time left for extra stuff! My house is crying for a deep cleaning as I type.....I guess that will have to wait til later...lol!

About 4 to 5 weeks ago we caught 2 neat looking worms(had to go back and fix this...I had warms..lol!!) at the house in our little plants. Kennedy was amazed at them! We decided to put them into bug boxes to see what would happen. Kennedy and daddy catching them.

Pretty neat looking!! It looked like it had eyes!

So, a few weeks go by........

And this is what we got......a moth!! I'm sad to say the other one didn't survive but this one did!

Kennedy was SO excited!!

We decided it was best if we let it go!!

What a neat experience this was! Watching it go from a warm, to a cocoon and then to a moth! It was awesome!

I guess I'm ready for some science projects after all! (In a few years of course!)

Hopefully I'll be able to catch up a little and get back into the swing of things soon!
