Fun, Food and Rides!!!

Last night we took Kennedy to the fair for the very first time! She was amazed at all of the lights and people but her reaction to the rides was the complete opposite of what i thought would be. Her outgoing personality i thought she would be completely fearless!! The first ride we attempted was the carousel. She held on to me the whole time. After a few more times she finally warmed up to them and then we couldn't get her off!!

Taking it out for a Spin!

This past weekend the fellas and us wife's headed out to the race track...not to race but to practice!! It was our big chance to take our hubbies cars out for a spin! I mean, the day wasn't all about us....you know better than that!! Of course they drove more than we did but we got to test out the cars first hand!

It really was such a thrill and rush that words can't explain! Adam always talks about how awesome it is.....now i know what he means!! In the helmet is a head set that me and Adam could talk back and forth, I remember saying at one point "I feel like I'm going SO fast, but I know I'm not!!" And I wasn't!!! I finally got better and increased my speed but i will say "it's MUCH harder than it looks!!!"

Just some random pics from around the house!! Not to much going on around the Taylor home!!

So, tutus are the latest craze right now (not to mention so stinkin cute!!)and my mom has tried making a few for Kennedy to play in!! These 2 are the first 2 she has made and they keep getting better!! Kennedy loves to play dress up in them!!

LETS GO RACING!

Last weekend we headed out for our second trip to the race track with a little bit more of a prospective of when, what and how we're suppose to be doing things! My hubby was on pins and needles the whole way there (in which didn't help our 3 hour drive!!). This time his brother was able to go and boy did that make things a bit more exciting! There is nothing like a little brotherly competition! It was nice to have family and friends surrounding the track cheering them on! What a great time it was (minus the 97 degree weather) and I'm ready for the next trip!

He got into a small accident.....his steering wheel came off and he kinda hit another car!!! GOOD ole duck tape can cure anything right??!!!

Labor Day Weekend!

What an eventful, busy but fun weekend we had!

Friday after me and Adam got off work we headed down to his mom's to spend the weekend!! I always look forward to going to his mom's because peaceful and Kennedy ALWAYS sleeps well! I don't know what's so different but the kid takes 3 hour naps, sleeps until 10 and goes to bed around 8!!! Not to mention she plays soooo hard with Grammy and cousin Luke!!

Saturday we headed South for Adam to race his mini-cup race car for the very first time! This has been a project of his for quite (forever it seems like!) some time now! It was a HUGE deal that the was FINALLY finished(minus few tweaking here and there) got to race! I tagged along with him, his dad and my parents came along for the show! Show it was! We got to experience/see a wreck and praise the Lord my husband came home ALL in one piece! It was a great time and can't wait to go back! I have a feeling we'll be doing A LOT of racing before he leaves for school!

All in all he did GREAT!!! He had me on the edge of my seat and not a fingernail left but I totally enjoyed watching him fulfill his dream!

Sunday afternoon we headed home so I could do some much need spring/fall cleaning! I was very proud of myself and how productive we were! I managed to get closets cleaned out, laundry done and little odds and ends that needed to be done....done! Now I just need to have a yard sale...lol!

Monday, we celebrated my dad's 59th birthday! It's hard to believe my daddy in knockin' on the big 6-0!!! Man does time fly by! All of the kids and grand kids got together (boy is it a house full now) we ate, swam ate some more, and just had a great time with each other.
